Quality Fit Windscreens Lifetime Warranty

Quality Fit Windscreens is proud to offer our lifetime warranty on all our goods and services. These goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Under our lifetime warranty, automotive glass is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle in which the glass is installed, so long as any such defects are brought to the attention of Quality Fit Windscreens within 30 days of your discovery of a defect/defects.

If you have a problem that is covered by this warranty, you may contact us and we will replace or repair the warranted product or correct the defective workmanship without charge at a mutually agreed upon time.

If Quality Fit Windscreens is unable to do so, we will refund the original purchase price of your warranted product. To exercise your rights under this warranty, Quality Fit Windscreens requires evidence of installation by Quality Fit Windscreens, such as a copy of the invoice.

Our windscreen warranty applies as long as you own or lease the vehicle on which the repair was made, and is non-transferable.

Windscreen Chip Repairs

A windscreen chip repair is designed to avoid a chip turning into a crack. However, the repair usually leaves a blemish that will not interfere with the driver’s vision. The repair process involves the injection of a special adhesive into the damaged part of the glass.

However, the degree of success of each repair is dependent on several variables. The best results are obtained when:

  • The damage is recent
  • Point of impact is small
  • Cracks around the damaged area are small
  • There is no moisture or other foreign matter in the damaged area

In some cases, the attempt to repair the windscreen can result in the chip or crack becoming larger, and Quality Fit Windscreens and our technicians are not responsible for such damage. If you are dissatisfied with the repair, we will credit the cost of the repair toward a windscreen replacement. If your insurance company paid for the repair, the insurance company will receive the credit.

Quality Fit Windscreens guarantees the repaired portion of the windscreen will not crack further and that the repair will pass any state vehicle inspection, or we will credit the cost of repair toward replacement.

Causes Beyond Our Control

Emergency Windscreen does not cover faults beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Faults caused by impact damage
  • Misuse of vehicle
  • Owner negligence
  • Environmentally induced deterioration
  • Existing vehicle faults

Nothing on this page reduces or limits your consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Exclusions

Emergency Windscreen’s warranty does not cover stress cracks, leaks, or related damage in connection with the installations to vehicles having damage or rust on the pinch weld. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to advise you of the existence of such damage or rust prior to the removal of existing glass. However, it is often not possible to do this. In cases such as these, Quality Fit Windscreens is not responsible for any associated damage.

Further, damage involving defective workmanship or materials is expressly excluded from coverage under this warranty. In no event shall the manufacturer or vendor be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow for the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. So the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Our auto glass warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
